SpringHill week provides multiple opportunities for individuals to serve the staff and campers! If you would like to help out by being a host home, activities helper, staff lunch prep, or registration, please click the link below and let us know how you would like to serve.

On Monday, registration volunteers help us process registration quickly and efficiently. You will be stationed at tables and help parents and campers through the check-in process as quickly as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to give parents and children a great first impression of our church! This is a very short time commitment, but has a huge impact as it begins the camp experience for each child.  We will need your help from 8:15 to 9:30am on the opening day of camp.

A host home houses 2-5 SpringHill staff during the week of camp. They will provide dinner on Monday and Wednesday and a light breakfast throughout the week. Staff will arrive on Sunday evening before camp and will leave on Sunday or Friday following camp. Our staff have their own transportation during the summer, and host homes will not be asked for rides. If SpringHill staff are staying the weekend in a host home, the host family is not expected to entertain them, rather we encourage our staff to get out of the house and do things together on weekends.

Party hosts are families who are willing to open their home on Tuesday or Thursday night for our staff to gather for worship, dinner, and fun. Party hosts may choose to host both nights or just one of the nights. They will feed our team and allow us to use their backyards or living rooms for gathering. The staff will stay from 6:00pm to approximately 9:00pm. Our staff members are fun-loving college students so they always appreciate places that have pools, lawn games, or indoor game rooms.

Lunch prep volunteers will help each day of camp by preparing food for SpringHill staff and church volunteers for lunch at 11:30am. You could work all week or just the days you are free. You will be in charge of preparing lunch and cleaning up each day. There are no age restrictions for this role.

A CIT’s job is to build relationships with campers and assist SpringHill counselors by working with the same group of campers for the entire week. This will include playing GWAPS (Games With A Purpose), singing songs, helping with activities, and talking with kids about what they’re learning about God. We love CITs that have a lot of energy, are service-minded, and love Jesus!  CITs are expected to attend a training on Sunday before camp and will be part of the team’s morning devotionals.

This year we are offering a new service camp experience for our incoming 6th-8th grade students. Students will spend the morning serving our SpringHill staff wherever needed (this was the previous Special Forces experience). In the afternoon, they will be serving our neighbors in various places throughout Elkhart County followed by playing games, hanging out, and building stronger friendships. Space is limited so join our Facebook group for more information as camp approaches.

Have a summer job with a purpose! Students as young as 16 can apply to become PAID SpringHill Counselors! You’ll be part of a close-knit team sharing Jesus with kids from all over, AND they’ll work with your summer schedule. Find out if this is the right fit for you and apply at SpringhillLeaders.com
