Before the music starts, before the message is delivered, guests should know they matter to us. First Impressions Teams are trained to extend a warm greeting, a good cup of coffee, and helpful information to those coming through our doors on Sunday morning.

Here are a variety of ways you can serve with First Impressions:

  • Coffee Servers
    Prepare and serve hot beverages and stock supplies with a friendly smile and greeting. Serve 30 minutes prior to the beginning of service times on a rotational basis.
  • Greeters
    Open doors, offer a friendly smile, provide an umbrella or an extra hand, answer basic questions and direct guests as needed. Arrive 30 minutes before service begins. Serve on a rotational basis, four months per year.
  • Information Center
    Greet guests 30 minutes before service begins and 30 minutes after service ends, answer basic questions about River Oaks, provide directions, etc.
  • Sunday Morning Office Team
    Answer phones, provide directions, and answer basic questions about River Oaks. Serve 1/2—1 hour before service as well as during service. Serve on a rotational basis.
  • Ushers
    Offer a friendly smile and greeting, find seating as needed, answer basic questions, and count attendance. Serve one hour, on Sundays, on a rotational basis.
