STUDENTS

At River Oaks, our Student Ministries use age-appropriate teaching, activities, and relationships to help students grow in their understanding of God’s Word and the good news of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to help every student know Jesus personally, grow in their faith, and learn to follow Him in everyday life.

Middle School:

This ministry for grades 6-8 meets up every Wednesday night from 6:00PM-8:00PM. This is a high-energy meeting in our Student Cafe designed to partner with parents as they navigate the unique challenges and opportunities of raising teenagers. As students begin developing their own beliefs and asking deeper questions about faith, we want to provide a safe place where they can explore those questions and discover God’s truth. Our goal is to equip students to bring every question to Jesus and trust Him as the foundation for truth. We combine games, teaching, and small group time to create deep friendships where students feel safe to ask tough questions and learn to trust God’s truth.

Preteen:

This ministry, designed for students in grades 4-6, meets on Sunday mornings at our 10:30AM service in English and our 1:00PM service in Spanish. In addition to our weekly meeting focused on growing disciples of Jesus Christ, we have regular parties that help students build friendships and discover that following Jesus is filled with joy, community, and fun.

Middle School:

High School:

This ministry for grades 9-12 meets every Sunday night from 6:00PM-8:00PM in the Student Cafe and is designed to help students develop a faith that is increasingly personal, mature, and able to withstand the challenges of early adulthood. Our times together include a wide variety of activities including teaching, Q&A, local meetups, game nights, and much more! Through these experiences, students are encouraged to take ownership of their faith and learn what it looks like to follow Jesus beyond high school.

Student Cedar Point Trip

Students in grades 6–12 are invited to join us for an unforgettable day at Cedar Point! Spend the day building friendships, making memories, and enjoying some of the best roller coasters and attractions in the country. We’ll leave early, stay late, and make the most of a full day filled with thrilling rides, great food, and fun together. The cost is $75 per student. Registration is required, and space is limited, so be sure to reserve your student’s spot before registration closes.
