Serve

Much of Christ's ministry here on earth dealt with the practice of servanthood. As we provide opportunities for the development of fully devoted followers of Christ, service is a critical piece of this development process. Whether inside the walls of River Oaks, within our community, or across our nation's borders, we want to allow people to practice serving others. It is for this reason that we have chosen to target 15% of our budget to ministries outside the walls of River Oaks, both in our local community and globally. We are believers in connecting our financial contributions with acts of service to support these contributions in the respective areas of giving.

Church

It takes many volunteers to allow River Oaks to be a great place and we are so grateful for everyone who chooses to serve. Below is a list of ministry areas that often need additional hands of service. • First Impressions Ministries (Greeter, Usher, Coffee Server, Information Center, Sunday Morning Office).
• Worship Ministries (Choir, Ensemble, Drama, Instrumentalist, Video, Sound & Lighting Technician).
• KidsWorld Ministries (- KidsWorld Teams and individuals serving on teams in KidsWorld classrooms; - Rescue Heroes and individuals serving on call for one service per month in KidsWorld).
• Student Ministries (Sunday evening small group leaders; Sunday morning cafe shift leaders).
• Support Ministries (Sunday morning chair set-up & tear down crews, funeral help, special event teams).
• Care Groups/Teaching (Leaders for small groups of people; Teachers for study group rotations).
