What to Expect

We are excited to host you and your family as our guests in KidsWorld!

Please take moment to look over the information provided below to ensure your family has the best experience possible!

Check-In and Registration

After arriving on our campus, it is best to make your way to the back of our building and come through our KidsWorld Entrance. Once inside, our support services team located in the Information Center in KidsWorld will happily help you register your child and checked into the appropriate environment. On your first morning with us, we encourage that you plan to arrive 10 minutes early to get your child registered.

You can save yourself 5 minutes by pre-registering your children here.

Each child will receive a name tag with your family’s unique 3-digit number for the morning. Parents will receive a coinciding receipt with that unique 3-digit number on it as well. This ticket will be used at pick-up.

Child Drop Off and Pick Up

Drop Off

After registering your child, one of our friendly support staff team members will guide you to your child’s environment. In our nursery environments, you’ll be directed to put a bag tag on your diaper bag and to sign your child in again, letting our team know about your preferences for the morning regarding snacks or feeding schedule.

Once your child is dropped off in their environment, know that they’re safe and in good hands. This should allow you to go experience worship with peace of mind. However, we do ask that you do not leave River Oaks’ campus after dropping your child off.

Pick Up

Infants through 3rd graders must be picked up from their environments by a parent/guardian who has the parent receipt in hand. NO CHILD WILL BE RELEASED WITHOUT A PARENT RECEIPT THAT MATCHES THE 3-DIGIT CODE ON THE CHILD’S NAME TAG. If you lose your parent receipt, one of our support services team members will gladly help you get a new one at the Information Center in KidsWorld.

We do not require our 4th and 5th grade children to be picked up with a parent receipt. We will release them to go find their parent/guardian after service is over.

Parent Paging System

In KidsWorld, our team will always do our best to meet the needs of an anxious or upset child. However, if your child consistently cries for over 10 minutes, you will paged by one our team. We have ways for you to be paged.

Family ID Number

Your 3-digit number will be displayed on the displays on either side of the stage in the Worship Center. If you see your number, please make your way to the Information Center in KidsWorld.

Parent/Guardian Text

As part of the registration process, you will be required to provide a contact number. If we are unable to reach you by displaying your Family ID Number we will then text you directly through our system. With that in mind, it’s helpful to keep your mobile device handy, but silenced or on vibrate.

Wellness Policy

To ensure the health of all of our children, volunteers, and staff, we ask that sick children not participate in KidsWorld. A child is welcome to enter class if none of the following symptoms have presented themselves in the past 24 hours:

  • Fever
  • Runny nose with thick or colored mucus
  • Persistent or hacking cough
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Undiagnosed rash
  • Impetigo
  • Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)
  • Chicken Pox (must be seven days since outbreak and completely scabbed over)

If your child displays any of the above symptoms you will be paged. Our team is not authorized to dispense any over-the-counter or prescription medications.
