Christmas Project

This year’s Christmas Project is focused on raising funds for ministries at River Oaks, in our local community and in various places around the world that impact the “lost” and the “least of these”. Please prayerfully read over the Christmas Project information and be as generous as you possibly can in helping us reach, and even exceed, our goal! You may give to the 2017 Christmas Project here.

Year-End Giving

All year-end giving must be postmarked or delivered to the church by 8:00pm Friday, December 31. We will be mailing 2017 giving statements by mid-January. If you would like yours sooner, they are available at My River Oaks with instruction sheets available in the Lobby or here.

Office Closed

Please note that the Church Office will be closed Monday and Tuesday, December 25-26, so that our staff can spend time with their families for Christmas. Please plan to take care of any necessary business before or after this date.

Small Groups

At River Oaks, we want to encourage everyone to connect to a small group to be cared for, encouraged and challenged. Our small groups have one simple purpose: to connect people to a caring community. We offer groups for married couples, men, women and young adults. No matter where you are in life, there’s a group for you. If you are interested in learning more about or joining a small group at River Oaks please fill out the small group interest form here or at the Connection Center in the Lobby. For additional questions or more information about our small groups please email Dustin Eby (deby@riveroaks.org).

Adult Small Group Leader Training

We will host a Small Group Leader training on Sunday January 14 during 2nd service (10:30-11:30am) upstairs in room 203A for all of our current and new young adult and adult small group leaders.

MarksMen

The MarksMen group will meet this Thursday, December 21, from 6:30-8:00pm at Midwest Gun & Range in Elkhart. Contact Todd Lozier at 875.0401 for details.

Young Adults

Are you a young adult or young couple looking to get connected with others in community and to grow in your faith? If so, we have several options available. Contact Aaron Nesbitt at anesbitt@riveroaks.org for more information.

KidsWorld Christmas Project

This year, part of the River Oaks Christmas project is to raise money toward the purchase of a box truck for Faith Mission. KidsWorld would like to participate in the Christmas Project as well by collecting canned goods for Faith Mission throughout the month of December. We encourage you to involve your children in selecting canned goods from home or from the store that might be enjoyed by kids their own age. All canned goods maybe delivered to the KidsWorld Lobby December 10-31. Thank you for your support and participation in blessing the least of these, this holiday season.

HUGS

The HUGS Project asks that as the Christmas season is upon us, please remember our troops in your prayers; not only for safety but most importantly for their salvation. If you have items to donate, please place them in our basket in the Lobby.
