Student Ministries

Student Ministries:

High School Ministry (HSM) & Middle School Ministry (MSM) – All 6th-12th grade students meet on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm in the Student Ministry wing. These nights include hanging out, food, games, worship a short challenge and small groups. Bring a friend and hope to see you there!

Children's Ministries

Children’s Ministries:

KidsWorld Sunday momrning offers care and learning for infants through 5th grade during both of our Sunday morning worship services. 4th and 5th graders are encouraged to attend elementary worship at 10:30am.

Baptism

Our next Baptism service will be on Sunday, September 24 during both services. Please sign up here and be prepared to attend the Baptism Class on Tuesday, September 19 at 6:30pm.

MarksMen

The MarksMen group will meet this Thursday, September 21, from 6:30-8:00pm at Midwest Gun & Range in Elkhart. Contact Todd Lozier at 875.0401 for details.

River Oaks Motorcycle Ride

Join fellow riders on Saturday, September 23 for a great ride through the countryside and a stop for breakfast. No charge other than buying your own meal. Bike check in at 8:00am in the Church parking lot; ride begins at 9:00am. Contact Jim Montgomery to sign up (574.361.7237).

MOPS Childcare Volunteers Needed

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is looking for childcare volunteers (infant-PreK) Thursdays 9:00-11:15am starting on September 14. We are looking for as little or as much time as you can offer! Please contact ROCCMOPS@gmail.com or mlholley1984@gmail.com for more details.

Fearless MSM Fall Retreat

MSM Students, join us for fun activities, teaching, and devotional time to connect with God and each other.

Play Date at ROCC Park

Home during the day on Fridays and looking for a reason to get out of the house? Want to connect with other families? Need a place for kids to run off some of that energy? Whatever your reason, we invite you to join us at ROCC Park every Friday, from May 19 to September 24 starting at 10:30am. Come to play for a bit or bring a picnic lunch and stay for awhile. Mark your calendars and meet us there (weather permitting)!

Disaster Relief Fund

We are teaming up with our denomination, The Evangelical Free Church of America to assist with the relief effort following the recent hurricanes. If you would like to give, please make your checks out to River Oaks Community Church, memo “Disaster Relief” and we will forward your contribution to the EFCA. Thank you for serving this way in Jesus’ name!

A Month of Compassion

The Local and International Compassion Committees are sponsoring a “Month of Compassion” starting Saturday, October 7, that will run for five consecutive Saturdays through November 4. Here is the schedule for your serving opportunities:
October 7 – Feed the Children (35 people needed)
October 14 – The Window (20 people needed)
October 21 – Feed the Children (35 people needed)
October 28 – Voice of the Martyrs Conference in Chesterson, IN (this is a conference, not a serving opportunity)
November 4 – Feed the Children (35 people needed)

Items Needed for the Children of Haiti

There are postcards with needs available in the Lobby. Members of the team going to Haiti will be in the Lobby collecting items on Sunday, September 17 and 24. Please drop items off in the basket labeled “Haiti” at any time.

The HUGS Project  is in need of trail mix, nuts and ground coffee. Thank you for your support for our troops!
