Student Ministries

Student Ministries:

High School Ministry (HSM) & Middle School Ministry (MSM) – All 6th-12th grade students meet on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm in the Student Ministry wing. These nights include hanging out, food, games, worship a short challenge and small groups. Bring a friend and hope to see you there!

Children's Ministries

Children’s Ministries:

KidsWorld Sunday momrning offers care and learning for infants through 5th grade during both of our Sunday morning worship services. 4th and 5th graders are encouraged to attend elementary worship at 10:30am.

Proposed 2017-18 Budget

With over 100 people voting, the 2016-17 Proposed Budget was overwhelmingly passed. Thank you to all who voted!

ROCC Park NFL Tailgate Party Volunteers

On Sunday, September 10, River Oaks Park will be hosting the final event for this season. In order for us to service our invited friends and families best, we still need fill 50 volunteer time slots. Please look over the list of opportunities to serve and choose which one(s) you would be willing to participate in. You may sign up here.

Baptism

Our next Baptism service will be on Sunday, September 24 during both services. Please sign up here and be prepared to attend the Baptism Class on Monday, September 18 at 6:30pm.

Women’s Bible Studies

(Wednesdays at 9:30am)
Please join us as we study “The Sermon on the Mount” by Jen Wilkin. Please sign up online; childcare is available, workbooks are $15. For further information, please contact Tina Menefee at jt83@frontier.com.

Men’s Thursday Morning Bible Study

This men’s study resumes Thursday, September 7 at 6:30am in the Heavenly Grounds Café. We will be studying the Book of Luke. No advanced preparation or sign-up is necessary, just join us on Thursdays. Led by Brian Clark.

River Oaks Motorcycle Ride

Join fellow riders on Saturday, September 23 for a great ride through the countryside and a stop for breakfast. No charge other than buying your own meal. Bike check in at 8:00am in the Church parking lot; ride begins at 9:00am. Contact Jim Montgomery to sign up (574.361.7237).

MOPS Childcare Volunteers Needed

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) is looking for childcare volunteers (infant-PreK) Thursdays 9:00-11:15am starting on September 14. We are looking for as little or as much time as you can offer! Please contact ROCCMOPS@gmail.com or mlholley1984@gmail.com for more details.

Play Date at ROCC Park

Home during the day on Fridays and looking for a reason to get out of the house? Want to connect with other families? Need a place for kids to run off some of that energy? Whatever your reason, we invite you to join us at ROCC Park every Friday, from May 19 to September 24 starting at 10:30am. Come to play for a bit or bring a picnic lunch and stay for awhile. Mark your calendars and meet us there (weather permitting)!

Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief Fund

We are teaming up with our denomination, The Evangelical Free Church of America to assist with the relief effort following Hurricane Harvey. If you would like to give, please make your checks out to River Oaks Community Church, memo “Disaster Relief” and we will forward your contribution to the EFCA. Thank you for serving this way in Jesus’ name!

Jail Ministry

The jail ministry team will meet Tuesday, September 5, at 6:30pm in the Heavenly Grounds Café. All are welcome to attend and share ideas or learn more about this exciting ministry. Contact Steve Peer at 574.875.6624 or sppeer@frontier.com for more information.

Items Needed for the Children of Haiti

There are postcards with needs available in the Lobby. Members of the team going to Haiti will be in the Lobby collecting items on Sunday, September 17 and 24. Please drop items off in the basket labeled “Haiti” at any time.

HUGS

The HUGS Project  is in need of gum, fruit snacks, energy bars, cliff bars and jerky. Thank you for your support for our troops!
