Student Ministries

Student Ministries:

High School Ministry (HSM) – Our 9th-12th grade students meet on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm in the Student Ministry wing. These nights include hanging out, food, games, worship a short challenge and small groups. Bring a friend and hope to see you there!

Middle School Ministry (MSM) –  Our 6th-8th grade students meet on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00pm in the Student Ministry wing. Students experience a fun environment filled with games and the opportunity to connect and grow with friends and our amazing student leaders!

Children's Ministries

Children’s Ministries:

KidsWorld Sunday momrning offers care and learning for infants through 5th grade during both of our Sunday morning worship services. 4th and 5th graders are encouraged to attend elementary worship at 10:30am.

KidsWorld MidWeek (KWM):

Join us on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00pm for a night of games, dancing and fun for the entire family! Wednesday nights are designed to reinforce the big ideas learned on Sunday mornings in KidsWorld.

ROCC Park Opening Act 2017

Join us on Saturday, May 13 from 10am-2pm (gates open at 9am) for the seasonal opening of our park. We will have a traveling circus, petting zoo, pony and camel rides, carnival games, food and much more! See all the details here. National Day of Prayer

On Thursday, May 4, millions of believers from across America will join together to celebrate the 65th annual National Day of Prayer. The National Day of Prayer belongs to all Americans. It is a day that transcends differences, bringing together citizens from all backgrounds. River Oaks encourages you to take some time out of your day to pray for our nation’s government, military, media, businesses, education, churches, and families.

Night of Ministry

The Young Adults are inviting you to mark your calendars for “A Night Of Ministry” featuring speaker Christine Caine, and worship by Passion on Saturday, May 20 at 7:00pm. You won’t want to miss this one-night event designed to speak directly into your life with power and hope from the Word and the Holy Spirit! Sign up here today to claim your seat on the bus! Tickets are $20. Because space is limited, seats are available first come, first serve!

FX is Coming Soon!

Join KidsWorld for FX: a worship and teaching event for the whole family, on Wednesday, May 3 from 5:45-8:00pm! We love sharing God’s Word with your kids on Sundays, but we are even more excited to partner with your entire family for this special service which includes worship, skits, teaching and games that engage the entire family. Join us for pizza in the Main Lobby at 5:45pm, followed by service and an end to the evening with family games and activities.
NOTE: Sign-up here to RSVP for dinner no later than noon on Monday , May 1. Childcare check-in for Infants-2yrs old will begin at 6:15pm.

Board Gamers

If you enjoy interesting and challenging games, stop by Room 203B on Saturday, April 29 from noon until midnight. This board gaming group meets the 2nd Friday (6:30pm-midnight) and the last Saturday (noon-midnight) of the month. For details, contact Michael Hovan at 875.5447.

Student Ministries Flower Sales

Flower sales will be going on from April 23 – May 7. Order forms can be found at the Student Ministry Counter in the Lobby. All proceeds benefit River Oaks’ Student Ministries.

SpringHill CITs

Calling all students ages 14-18. We invite you to join us as a CIT (Counselor In Training) this year at SpringHill Day Camp, June 12-16, at River Oaks. A CIT’s job is to build relationships with campers and assist SpringHill counselors by working with the same group of campers for the entire week. This will include playing GWAPS (Games With A Purpose), singing songs, helping with activities and talking with kids about what they’re learning about God. Voice of the Martyrs Trip

Our next Voice of the Martyrs trip is scheduled for June 26-30. If you are interested in going, please pick up an application in the Lobby and return them to the Church office no later than Sunday, April 30. Please call the Church office at 574.875.1152 or send an email to Dia at with questions.

Haiti Trip

Matt Stemm will lead our next family trip to Children’s Lifeline in Haiti, October 2-9. Applications are available in the Lobby All forms and the initial deposit must be turned in no later than Sunday, May 7. Contact the Church office at 574.875.1152 or with any questions.

SPA Ministries Tea Party

“Pouring Blessings: Tea Party with a Really “Cool” Twist! Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 2-4pm at First Baptist Church 53953 Co Rd 17, Bristol, IN 46507. Hat Contest Categories are Themed, Outlandish, Sunday Hat and Children’s. There is no admission fee. A love offering will be taken at the event. Jail Ministry Volunteer Opportunities

The Jail Ministry is looking for instructors to lead classes such as Anger Management, Celebrate Recovery, and Inside Out Dads at the Elkhart County Jail. This is a great opportunity to add value to the lives of inmates and enhance the quality of life in our community. The HUGS Project is in need of freezer pops, microwave meals and toothpaste (3oz. or less). If you or your Community Group would like to volunteer at our workshops on the second Monday of each month please call Sondra Resen at 574.215.8734.  We have day and evening workshops.

Products and monetary donations are always welcome for us to send care packages to the troops overseas. Thank you for your continued support!
