Books
Here are some books that relate to friendships and relationships:

The Accountable Man – A great book for men that want to begin a discipleship / accountability group.

Safe People – A book by Drs. Cloud and Townsend about finding relationships that are good for you and how to avoid those that aren’t.

How to be a Best Friend Forever – A book about making and keeping lifetime relationships.

Tips
Here are 5 tips if you are looking to take a friendship to another level or begin some sort of discipleship / accountability group:

  • Confidence – Whatever is said within the group, STAYS in the group!
  • Candor – You need to be completely open and honest with each other.
  • Consistency – Meet weekly; same time, same place.
  • Curriculum – Pick a book of the Bible; discuss 1 chapter each week.
  • Contact – Talk to those in your group throughout the week (call, email, text).

Opportunities
One of the best way to grow a friendship or make friends is to serve, volunteer, or join a study.

Serving / Growing Opportunities (Sign up for any of these online.)

  • Ladies’ Thursday Night Out – Olive Garden on April 16
  • Springhill Volunteers – June 8-12
  • Ladies Bible Study – Missing Pieces by Jennifer Rothschild
  • Serving Opportunities – Lots of way you could serve the body individually or as a team

Thursday Morning Men’s Study – This is an ongoing study that meets weekly at 6:30am in the Heavenly Grounds Café. Contact Dustin (dkaehr@riveroaks.org) for more information.
