The Church is Hypocritical

The Church is Hypocritical

One of the biggest criticisms of Christians is that we are hypocritical. Hypocrisy is claiming to have moral standards and convictions but failing to follow them. It is not a new problem. In fact there is a story in the book of Galatians about Paul confronting Peter because of his hypocrisy (see Galatians 2:11-13).

When we see hypocrisy in another believer’s life, we should speak to the person about it, but do so with gentleness and humility (Galatians 6:1).

When we see it in our own life, we should repent (Psalm 139:23-24).

Let’s all work to improve the reputation of Christianity and live our lives with integrity!
