Mexico ’14 Update #7

Hey, it’s Micah Ridenour here blogging about my days and my opinions. Well it’s been a few days since my first blog, so I’m going to share a little of what’s been going on and where I’m at in my new perspective of my faith. The last few days we’ve been building little 16 by 12, or 12 by 12 houses. The families are the sweetest most delightful people. The joy on their faces makes it so worth it! The past few days they’ve been talking about missions and spreading God’s world to those who can’t and won’t ever hear the word of God. I’ve always thought that God wanted me to be a youth pastor. Although I’m stilling praying about it, I’m thinking about making a 15 to 20 year commitment to those who have never heard the gospel and become a missionary. I’ll leave that in God’s hands. This week has felt like a small portion of what that may be like.

Oh, I will pray for God’s calling on his life. Someone in the family needs to be a missionary so dad’s saying, “it’s good missionary training” does not go to naught. I’m so proud of this young man.
