The Kids Against Hunger organization is working to significantly reduce hunger and malnutrition by feeding starving children throughout the world. The goal of this organization is for its meals to provide a stable nutritional base, meeting their most basic need, so families can move from starvation to self-sufficiency.
Fundraiser Project: Kids Against Hunger has been partnering with Children’s Lifeline for the past five years to deliver food to over 8500 children. We are partnering with Kids Against Hunger to provide meals for the Haitian villages near Children’s Lifeline. On Saturday, May 31, Kids Against Hunger will deliver the ingredients to package 40,000 “Fortified Rice-Soy Casserole” meals! Each meal costs 25¢ and is packed with enough vitamins, minerals and protein to provide six children all the nutrition they need for a day!
Volunteer Details: 150 volunteers are needed at River Oaks the morning of May 31 from 10-12. Sign up at riveroaks.org. Children welcome! (Kids Against Hunger recommends children be at least six years old)
Our KidsWorld Ministry has set a goal to raise $300 of the $10,000 for a total of 1200 meals.
