$88,000 for Local Agencies

This year’s Christmas Compassion Project contains much support for local agencies and families at River Oaks. Your contribution to the project will go towards much needed support for the River Oaks Benevolence Fund, The Window of Goshen, Faith Mission of Elkhart, Spa Ministry, and the River Oaks Jail Ministry. $34,600 to Church Community Services (churchcommunityservices.org)
CCS is a ministry assisting the poor throughout Elkhart County, with food and subsidies for rent, utilities, and prescriptions.  This years Compassion project will be given to their emergency assistance fund and general fund which will allow them to purchase a much needed computer, printer, Point-Of-Sale system, and manpower.

$18,000 for SpringHill Day Camp Scholarships (springhillcamps.com/in/daycamp)
This June ROCC will once again host SpringHill Day Camp. These funds will provide 100 full scholarships for children from River Oaks and the surrounding community, who would otherwise not be able to attend.

$9,200 to Reason Enough to Act (retaforlife.com)
RETA is a local ministry for pregnant women and their families. These funds will be used to purchase computers, a new phone system, car seats, and remodeling needs.

$9,000 to River Oaks Benevolence Fund
This fund is used to assist those in need in our own congregation.

$6,700 to The Window (facebook.com/thewindowgoshen)
The Window is a ministry assisting the poor with food and clothing in the downtown Goshen area. These funds will purchase a much needed walk-in-cooler, commercial convection oven, vacuum, and hand dryers.

$5,000 to Faith Mission (faithmissionofelkhart.org)
Faith Mission is a local ministry that provides meals and shelter for the poor and homeless needing mental, physical, or spiritual care. These funds will be used to construct a gazebo as part of their overall plan for their men’s ministry.

$3,500 to Spiritual & Personal Adjustments (spaministryhomes.org)
The SPA is a local shelter for women who have experienced domestic violence, homelessness, and poverty.  These funds will support their general fund, allowing them to purchase new computers, doors, grill, and more.

$2,000 to River Oaks Jail Ministry (prisonfellowship.org)
Angel Tree is a ministry of Prison Fellowship which provides Christmas gifts for children who’s parents are incarcerated. River Oaks Student Ministry will be using these funds to purchase gifts and distribute them in our community.

Our mission is to Go to the lost with the message of Jesus Christ, Grow our faith in Jesus Christ, and Show compassion to those in need. We offer services at 9:00 and 10:30am, a student service at 10:30am, and a Spanish service at 12:30pm. Come visit us and let us show you around!
